What shall I do when we face with ink shortage?

1. If you see the Ink Filter is empty, fill the Ink Filter with ink.
2. Check the Ink Tube when they come into the Secondary Tank.
3. Check all the tubes from the Secondary Tank to the Print Heads.

What can be done if the Carriage doesn’t move?

1. Check the Emergency Stop push buttons that it shouldn’t be active.
2. Check the SCSI cable between PCI card & Servo board which should be connected.
3. Check the Supply Ink Cable between Servo board & Image board which should be connected.
4. Make sure that there isn’t any jerk on the carriage rail & also the Encoder bar.

What is the procedure for aligning the printer?

The procedure for aligning the printer is as blow:

1. Print the Bi-Dir Offset in three modes: Low, Normal & High speed and read the related numbers.
2. Put the numbers in Option part in the software as this formula: n :read numbers      m:previose numbers in table       Formula: Average(n1,n2,n3)*2+m
3. Print the Color Offset and read the related numbers and then Put the numbers in Option part in the software.

What if my carriage jerks as it moves?

Make sure that there is oil on the rail.

What do I do if my image looks fine in Photoprint, but it prints darker when I print it?

1. Be sure that the monitor you are using correctly calibrated.
2. Determine if you are using the correct color profile.
3. The color profiles make the necessary corrections for the material you are using and the mode you are printing.

What should I set the heaters to?

Depending on the material & environment’s temperature that you are using, set the heaters as follows:

• Front Heater: Set at 35 ~ 50 C
• Rear Heater : set to 45 ~ 60 C
• The cooling fan must be on.

Notice: Thinner materials may stretch at higher temperatures.

Drop ink on the media!

1. Clean the lower surface of the carriage manually by a clean handkerchief.
2. Check the Air Tank that shouldn’t be any ink in it.

I sent a file to the printer but we can’t see the file in the MPCS software. Why?

Please check the address between the RIP & MPCS software, it must be the same.

How do I obtain and install new Color Profiles?

1. Insert the profiles CD in your CD drive.
2. From the File menu in the RIP software, select the Import Preset.
3. Select the profiles on your CD & then click on the Open button.
4. All of the profiles that you selected will be automatically installed.
